Bob Marik founded The Litchfield Group after having been affiliated with two other Washington area mergers and acquisitions firms. He was formerly President and Director of Reese Communications Companies, a local public relations firm. Before that, he had been Vice President for Public Affairs of Merck & Co., Inc. for over six years. He has held the positions of Vice President, General Manager and Director of RedKen Laboratories, a cosmetics company; Chief Financial Officer of a subsidiary of TRW, Inc. and later Director of Strategic Planning of another TRW subsidiary.
Mr. Marik has served as Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management in the (then) U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare and as Associate Director in the U.S. Office of Management and Budget. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University and an MBA from the University of Southern California.
